Do not run KMail separately if you intend to you the Kolab Server (dimap)
Resource with Kontact for calender data.

We had a few known issues with the reminders which will be fixed with a more
recent version, I do not know if this is one of them. "Korgac" must be
running for reminders to work. Do you get any reminders at all?

In the properties dialog of a calender folder (if the folder is on a Kolab
Server).
