Another week-end, another chance to acquint myself with Macs :)
On the uninstall issue, it turns out that Macs actually do not have
uninstall functonality, and there is a number of third party apps
supposed to remedy that. Tested one of them without being able to find
any trace of Kontact with it. However, settings and configuration files
for Kontact is put exactly where they are supposed to on Macs, namely in
the ~/Library/Preferences/KDE folder, so removing that folder and /opt
leaves you with clean sheets. Moreover, we find the familiar structure
of KDE config files in the KDE folder.
I took the opportunity to test drive the new 2.2.1 RC1, which so far
works beautifully. This time around I was able to start with clean
sheets, and can add the following:
-Free/Busy works as expected :)
Found another bug:
-When KMail runs in separate window, and you choose Mail in Kontact,
KMail fails to rise over the Kontact window. Hence users not paying
attention on the message at the bottom of Kontact, will not realize that
mail is already open when Kontact covers the mail window.
Found a possible bug (not sure if it is reproducible yet)
-Reminder daemon did not remind me 15 minutes prior to meeting. It may
be triggered by the time settings being shifted one hour between server
and client.

Nope, beats me, maybe Steve Jobs has put in an ifdef on me.

Indeed, it seems to be a Horde issue, and not even consitent there. Norwegian letters seems to work nicely in Kontact.

Thanks, found it. Probably a stupid question, but how does one set permission on the calendar?
Cheers,
