With ethereal I was able to catch the following fetchmail warning:
    Message: X-Fetchmail-Warning: recipient address login at xsall.nl didn't
match any local name\r\n

(the actual recipient has been altered a little to prevent spamming, etc).

My fetchmailrc is:

atlas:~ # cat /etc/fetchmailrc
poll pop3.xsall.nl proto pop3
user LOGIN password PASSWORD is user "kolablogin at atlas.domain.tld" here
options fetchall keep;

With fetchmail I retrieve the emails from the ISP so this works:
user LOGIN password PASSWORD

With kolab/kmail I can sent and receive emails to
"kolablogin at atlas.domain.tld" so that works.

The warning has to do with: `X-Fetchmail-Warning' header which is generated
because fetchmail cannot find a valid local name in the recipient addresses.

The only thing I found is that fetchmail should include something like
localdomain domain.tld. Did try this yet, but why should I need it, while
others can do without???
