A short note to all people interested in Horde:

There have been three new packages
(http://build.pardus.de/downloads/kolab-horde-tmp/) released today:

    * horde-framework-kolab-20070329
    * horde-mnemo-kolab-20070329
    * horde-nag-kolab-20070329

The two applications "Nag" (Horde task manager) and "Mnemo" (Horde
note manager) have been switched over to the new Horde/Kolab framework
and can now be considered much more stable. All that remains to do
with these two apps is to find and fix the remaining bugs. Please
submit any bugs you find within these two apps in the main Kolab bug
tracker using the topic "horde".

The basics of the restructuring have been completed much quicker than
anticipated thanks to the original patches provided by Thomas
Jarosch. This has now been submitted upstream to Horde for a first
review:

Some background on the current Horde development:

Horde has had unstable Kolab support for years. In order to fully
support Kolab there were several larger structural changes
necessary. These have now all been implemented and all that remains is
fixing each of the groupware applications (mnemo, nag, turba,
kronolith). The structural changes implemented were:

    * fixed support for groupware folders
    * fixed XML handling
    * additional caching so that you can have thousands of notes,
      addresses, tasks etc.

Turba (addresses) and Kronolith (events) remain broken but will
hopefully be fixed soon.

Cheers,

Gunnar
