Sync /seen flag from server to devices connected via ActiveSync possible?

Switching off the APC and message cache improved the situation a little bit, at least for the direction device -> server.
Although I stiil have the same problem: Messages already loaded to the device are still not updated.
Do you happen to have further suggestions?
