Kontact Ldap login

Hi All,

Kontact version: 4.12.2
Kolab version: 3.2

We currently trying to connect a kontact client to a freshly installed kolab 
3.2 server with 2 testusers.
The client is configured for one of the testaccounts and sending/receiving 
mail works.
However any attempt to use the address completion of ldap  brings up an LDAP 
authorisation dialogue.
The credentials that work for mail(IMAP) don't work here for LDAP.
Hence we are unsure what to fill in here.
Any ideas what we can do?
Pointers to rtfm are most welcome.
