Owncloud integration

Ok, so instead of trying a clean install, I wanted to first see if I
could get Owncloud working with my existing 3.1 installation. My
Owncloud and Kolab installations are on different servers. Both a fully
accessible via https and Owncloud is already using the kolab LDAP server
for user authentication.

I followed the translated (from German to English) page here:

http://immersia.de/2014/03/weg-von-goolge-mit-dem-eigenen-vpsroot-server-centos-6-5-kolab-3-2-owncloud-6-plex/

I've made all the config file changes on the respective servers and have
the URLs and the secret shared as shown on that page. I've copied the
apps and themes to owncloud. I then went into Owncloud and enabled the
Kolab user authentication app (although the web page didn't mention
that, as far as I can tell).

I restarted the web server daemons on each machine, and logged into
Roundcube. The file icon was replaced by the Owncloud icon, however,
when I selected the icon a blank frame appeared (using Chrome). In IE,
it gave me a warning that I couldn't open that the content couldn't be
displayed in a frame, and gave me the option to open in a new window,
which just gave me the Owncloud login screen.

As far as the interface, there appears to be a way to attach a file from
Owncloud, but I didn't see a way to save an attachment to Owncloud.
Either way, the point is moot until I can solve the authentication
issue.

I've looked through all the logs of which I'm aware on both servers, but
can't find a clue as to what's causing this to fail. Does anyone have
any pointers?
