Notification upon new aapointment in shared calender

Hi all, 

googling led me to nowhere, but maybe I chose the wrong words to ask
that algorithm. But maybe human being understand me better? ;-) 

I set up a shared calender, and my wife would like to get a notification
whenever a new appointment is created in that particular calender or
whenever an existing one is altered. 

Is that possible?
