I've tried setting this in Kolab 3.1. It makes the fields editable, but
if I edit the primary email to something other than the generated, it is
replaced by the generated value on user creation. The same effect occurs
when I manually set the 'mail' attribute to be editable. In both cases
the return from the AJAX call seems to indicate that the user is added
with the edited address, but when viewing the user afterwards the
generated address is shown instead.
At one point I managed to successfully create a user with customised
primary mail, after some fudging about with removing the primary_mail
attribute from the domain section of /etc/kolab/kolab.conf; however,
that seemed to break mailbox generation (i.e. I could log in with the
customised address, but the mailboxes were still created with the
generated address, so they didn't show up).
Any hints as to what I'm doing wrong? :)
