Setup configuration for Active Directory compatibility

Is additional information regarding the "Setup configuration for Active 
Directory compatibility" LDAP option available?

I am interested if this option could be used to facilitate installation 
of Samba 4.1 and Kolab 3.1 on one physical box and if so, what would be 
best procedure for accomplishing this integration?
