How to connect an IMAP client to Kolab 3

We know the username to need to be 'first.last at domain.tld' with the 
@domain.tld included.

The error here seems to be that the STARTTLS negotation fails - not that your 
username or password is incorrect. Without STARTTLS or implicit SSL over port 
993, the client does not get to authenticate / submit the credentials over the 
wire.

Could you give using port 993 with SSL a try?
