I'm also -highly- interested in using openldap instead of 389ds. I've read a bit here and there that gives me the impression that it may be possible but there's no guide or any other detailed information that I have been able to find. I hoping to find time to closely examine the 389ds setup process and see if I can replicate the actions with an openldap server but I haven't had time to do that yet :(.
Arun Khan, if you do find any information about this I would greatly appreciate you relaying it to me. I'll gladly help test and even write detailed CentOS documentation on it :)
