A few questions regarding Kolab3 configuration

I've recently upgraded to Kolab 3 and so far almost everything is working great. Thanks for the great product!

I've got a few issues I haven't managed to iron out yet, and can't find the relevant information in the docs.

First off, I can't use SMTP when using an IMAP client (such as Apple's Mail.app). If I try and use authenticated SMTP, it fails to authenticate with the same credentials as the IMAP server. If I use unauthenticated SMTP, it refuses to send, and I see the following in my /var/log/mail.log:

(where redacted at example.com is a secondary email for redacted at gwright.org.uk, and example.com is a domain alias for gwright.org.uk)

Secondly, how do I set up my StartSSL certificates for IMAPS/SMTPS usage?

Thirdly, I've tried following the instructions for setting up hosted kolab, but unfortunately my primary domain is "gwright.org.uk" and other domains I'd like to be using have only two parts i.e. "example.com" rather than "example.com.foo". Can this be done? The documentation suggests that it won't work with the configuration as laid out, but doesn't suggest an alternative.
