To me it is not clear what method of transfer you actually use. The
standard mode of upgrading would just be to upgrade the original 2.1
server.
>From what you write I assume you'd rather have two servers, one
productive 2.1 server and a second one that has the newer 2.2
version. But in this case I would use the standard backup/replay
procedures (http://wiki.kolab.org/index.php/Backups_for_kolab2). That
way you should not loose any data.
