Hi Rodrigo

You can do a lot with Kolab2 because it is based on Postfix it means I have
a kolab2 server which uses following:

DCC (client mode)
RAZOR
Pyzor (do not use both Razor and Pyzor)
Amavisd-new
Spamassassin (internal functions like spf,rbl etc etc)
F-Prot Antivirus
Sophos Antivirus
Clamav Antivirus
Antivir Antivirus
Additional Rulesets
Manuell HAM/SPAM Definitions

The main config from kolab2 amavisd-new is quit conservativ it means from my
point of view it can be done more but there is also the question if this is
really needed on a mailserver it means from my point of view this has to
taken over by mail gateway and kolab2 does only the last rudimentary checks
for internal use. If you setup a mailgateway based on postfix and
amavisd-new there is a similar constellation possible and lot more! If you
like to extend the config from kolab2 the following link will help you:

http://www.flakshack.com/anti-spam/wiki/index.php

It depends a little bit which os you use etc. but the config within amavisd
is for all os the same and you have only to be careful which file you change
in kolab2 because only *.template file (update with kolabconf -n) are usable
other changes would be overwritten. Some configs does need to be changed in
files directly like /kolab/etc/spamassassin/local.cf etc. I'm fully
satisfied with the solution and I use Solaris Sparc, Intel Fedora 2 and 3 as
Opteron Sun X2100 Servers which seems to me the best solution between price,
stability and usage. Have fun...!

Andrea

Helo lists.

I have a doubt... What kind of security implemention does kolab
server 2.0.4 use to drop the spam traffic?

Example: SPF, greylist, RBLs, Spamassassin and others?

   Thanks

Att

Rodrigo Gomes
