Kolab, postfix and zombied smtp?

Has anyone else had issues with smtp processes in Kolab going zombie?
For a yet to be determined reason, our Kolab server went from 0 to 35
zombies in 3 minutes and basically crashed Postix (i.e. smtpd won't
accept any more mail.)  A simple restart of Kolab removed the zombies
and returned services to normal.
