Hello,

I am trying to get the free/busy feature to work. I am using KDEPIM from KDE
3.4.1 under Debian Sarge, together with a Kolab V-Server called
"kolab.of.teamix.net".

I already tried with KDEPIM from KDE 3.4.0 but I read that it won't work
(http://intevation.de/pipermail/kolab-users/2005-June/002809.html). I also
read the free/busy HOWTO "freebusy-troubleshooting.txt" in
CVS:doc/raw-howtos/.

Well I at least the client seem to put the free-busy information onto the
Kolab server. But what from I read this wouldn't be necessary at all.

Also that trigger stuff is called and I looked into resmgr/freebusy.log and
did't found an obvious reason for a failure.

I configured the following for getting free/busy information:

Server URL: https://kolab.of.teamix.net/freebusy/%25EMAIL%25.ifb
Options:
- "Use full email address for retrieval"
- "Retrieve other people's free/busy information automatically"
Username: kolab?@teamix.info (were ? is 1 or 2)
Password: well the password of that user
And then I checked "Password save"

And this seems to work after I told KMail to sync IMAP and entered the KWallet
password. Before that it doesn't work and it doesn't give an error message.
So at least I get some GET requests:

"GET /freebusy/kolab2 at teamix.info HTTP/1.1" 404 310
172.21.24.49 - - [27/Jun/2005:01:57:07 +0000]
"GET /freebusy/kolab1 at teamix.info.ifb HTTP/1.1" 401 486

But still I do not see any overlapping events in the free busy object of a
group event whose attendees have scheduled events during that group event.
Might be that I do not understand how KOrganizers free busy feature actually
works. I read in the KOrganizer documentation but didn't found a single hint
on the free/busy feature. I also asked Google to no avail.

I tried it with a group event that is organized by user "kolab1". An added
user "kolab2" as attendee. User "kolab2" already has another event during the
time of the group event. Now as "kolab1" I go to the free busy object of the
group meeting. Shouldn't I see that it overlaps with the event that "kolab2"
has? I tried "Reload" as well as clicking on the user "kolab1" on the right
hand side of the window (and entering the URL for free busy twice cause
KOrganizer asked twice), but I still don't see any overlapping in the
graphical representation.

Any hints?

Regards,
