All connectors must go the route through pop3 so far,
because this seems to be the only way to get outlook see and handle the
invitation messages.
But this does not really explain the symptoms you see.
There is a long standing bug in Toltec about not using the imap flags,
which would explain (issue939 and issue940) they might explain
the problems with the "unread" email. As for the deleted emails I can only
do wild guesses. Maybe Horde does not expunge the messages and only marks
them for deletion.
