userid and multidomain

I am used to call 1+2 "multidomain".
Of course 3) is a lot easier to do.

Thanks for the information, I did not know this.
Though this is not allowed by the standard, it might get used by more
and more people because of the usability advantages.

Current Kolab2 Server does allow for that uid so we do not run into problems.
I agree that using x at some  as a unix user name might pose problems.
Martin: What are your thoughts about this?
