Hi
now as you probably noticed there is a message from me in the mailing list
which I tried to compile and install kolab on Solaris 8. I was not able to do
this because of GCC. Anyway I don't understand why but I was mentioned to
change to precompiled binarys from zfos and using obmtool. I did this but
also there I have after giving the command kolab_bootstrap -b errors which I
could not identify. I tried several times with several modifications on the
env but was not able to do this without erros. Below you will see exactly
which was done with each command. All Packages are on my opinion successfully
installed. If any more information is required no problem contact me:
Server is Ultra 5 270Mhz with 256 MB RAM and 9 GB HD
OS is SunSolaris 8 Sparc
Shell is .kshrc (Kornshell)
Cluster is Recommended Cluster May 2004

| Congratulations!
| You have successfully installed an OpenPKG 2.1-RELEASE instance
| under prefix /kolab on target platform sparc64-solaris8.
| For details about this OpenPKG instance, run any of the
| following typical OpenPKG RPM query commands:
| $ /kolab/bin/openpkg rpm -qa
| $ /kolab/bin/openpkg rpm -qi openpkg
| $ /kolab/bin/openpkg rpm -qlv openpkg
| To check the integrity of the entire OpenPKG instance,
| run the following OpenPKG RPM verify command:
| $ /kolab/bin/openpkg rpm -Va
| To install software packages into this OpenPKG instance, run
| the following two OpenPKG RPM build commands for each package:
| $ /kolab/bin/openpkg rpm --rebuild /path/to/foo-*.src.rpm
| $ /kolab/bin/openpkg rpm -Uvh /kolab/RPM/PKG/foo-*.rpm
| To remove a software package later, just run:
| $ /kolab/bin/openpkg rpm -e foo
| To remove the whole OpenPKG instance under prefix /kolab,
| just remove every package as shown above. As you finally
| remove the package "openpkg", the OpenPKG instance itself
| will be unlinked from the system and removed as well.
| Thank you for flying OpenPKG...
