message store problems

I built kolab 1.0 from SRPMs as per instructions in QIM. Now, when I am adding users thru web-
interface, message store do not get created (outlook complains that user only has a top level 
folders, although I could create sub-folders manually from outlook or another IMAP client). I tried 
figuring out what might be the problem using regular command line tools such as for instance 
cyradm, however I had very little luck. I could not even get cyradm to properly authenticate me.
Perhaps someone who has experience administering kolab could give me some pointers?!
