Kolab will be talking webdav. It just needs to be plugged together with 
owncloud and the UI needs to be integrated.

Most of the work is there, it just needs porting to ownCloud 5. PHP and Java 
are not _that_ much different. Maybe the owncloud list can also be of some 
help, if you want to dive into this.
