That one (which I hadn't noticed before) pointed me in the right direction: 
It was a Sieve-related dialog (and problem). Our firewall was blocking port 
2000 and hence this progress dialog would not disappear by itself. I'll 
file a bug report about this progress dialog, as I think it should (a) 
identify itself as being related to Sieve and (b) time out with an error 
message if it can't contact the server properly.
