The Kolab specification obviously doesn't specify other clients.

If the other clients are IMAP clients (probably) they will probably
handle the files as either mails or maybe plain files (which just
happen to look like mails).

It would be good if they don't mess around with the folders, but
otherwise they are free to do what they want, except calling
themselves a Kolab client.
