Another fine announcement that can be made is, that kolab has been installed
on suse with just setting the distribution dependend settings during rpm
build. This has been achieved by Marcus Hüwe who did an awful lot of boring
work to autoconfiscate kolab. His patches were checked by me and committed
to cvs by me. This means that kolab can now be installed on suse with just a
simple 'apt install kolab', that downloads 12 MB of packages (of which is 8
MB ofor a rebuild cyrus). It would be nice to have the patches, that require
cyrus to be rebuild, committed upstream. That would bring the download back
to only 4 MB!

The installation procedure is explained in detail on:
http://en.opensuse.org/Kolab

The funny thing is that we see the bugs
https://intevation.de/roundup/kolab/issue1068 and
https://intevation.de/roundup/kolab/issue1098 as well.

For now there is only http, ldap and imap access, so no https, ldaps and
imaps. Hopefully this will appear soon.

I hope that this achievement is a signal for others, to try out kolab on a
native suse install or to get kolab working on other native distributions.
