Horde already makes use of LDAP to store personal preferences in there. Using
it for the datatree which is currently in a database, is the next logical
step. Having to maintain a database besides Kolab for that little piece of
data is a pity. I would be more than happy to be able to drop MySQL on our
Kolab server.
I understand that it might be of use to discuss details about how to optimize
the Horde-Kolab interaction. But please search for a solution which makes a
database obsolete. If one had to use it due to Horde, I would loose the
argument that Kolab doesn't need a database (which means less administration
work).
