[Kolab-devel] Kolab: Cyrus replication HA option

Has anyone considered rolling the below Cyrus HA patch
into the Kolab system?

Just curious as I am exploring possible solutions for
failover solution for the Kolab 2 system.


It provides the following features:

# Migration of data between Cyrus backends for load
balancing (it also allows us to migrate all data off a
live system for maintenance).

# Efficient data transfer to a tape spooling system which
has a large amount of cheap IDE disk storage and an LTO
tape stacker.

# Initial upload of mailboxes from the old UW world to Cyrus.

# Rolling replication of all updates in real time to
independent hot spare systems (eventually at a remote
site) for disaster recovery.
