[Kolab-devel] Does the Kolab name have Mormon references?

Hello,
I posted this question in a discussion board on the
KDE.NEWS web site in response to an article about the
Kolab project.
If any of you have an answer, I sure would like to hear
it.
A somewhat unknown part of the Mormon religion is that the
universe is modeled after what we know as a solar
system... in essence the entire universe is rotating
within a fixed orbit. In the same way that the Sun is the
center of our solar system, the universe is rotating
around its own massive object. Mormon theology suggests
this object is an ULTRA massive planet (or Sun?) that is
so large is would cause the entire universe to rotate
around it. The name of this massive planet /sun object is
Colab (or Kolab... I'm not sure about the spelling).
Initially I would have thought the name was merely
coincidental, but the Kolab logo causes me to think
otherwise because it includes imagery of smaller objects
orbiting around a larger one..
Are there Mormon influences within the Kolab project?
If the planet's real name is indeed Colab (with a C) and
recognizing the trend in all words starting with K that
are associated with KDE, was the name changed to adhere to
the naming trend?
(I run a tech news site named osViews.com AKA
osOpinion.com. If any of you have a response for me, I
would like to include your feedback in a future editorial
to be published on the site. If you choose to respond,
could you specify whether or not your comment can be
republished on the site?
Thank you.
