I was able to remove the main distributionlist user, using the 
kolab 'admin' web interface. 
 
To reproduce: 
Assign a user to the distribution lists abuse, hostmaster and 
postmaster.  After that remove the user. 
This is possible without warning from the interface... 
 
If I now want to modify the distributionlist (e.g. abuse at ...) 
I get the error msg: 
 
Errors: 
 LDAP Error searching for DN cn=Richard Bos,dc=radoeka,dc=nl: No such object
