aha so the truth comes out. in fact there is absolutely no built in support 
for webdav on win2k and ol2k.  so now that we have this issue resolved may we 
please go back in this thread to the beginning and fix the problem.  What 
changes are we missing in the proftpd setup to get ftp access to the shared 
free/busy lists with ftp without having a common login.  At that point we may 
as well just us anonymous logins.  Id prefer some level of password security 
though.
