Ok, I see.

We have on our roadmap (after 1.0) the straight forward optimization only to
rewrite those files which really need changes whenever something changes in
LDAP.
I was especially thinking about very large installations and I am wondering if
a local db based on a file is not much faster than LDAP queries for postfix.
This is the reason why I think that it is possible that introducing direct
LDAP support for postfix is maybe the wrong solution for the potential
scalability problem.
