using email address from deleted user {SOLVED - clearing kolab auth_cache]

 Hello again.
I found the authentication cache - in case anyone is ever searching for this (at least on Kolab 16 / CentOS7 - I haven't upgraded in awhile).
It's a sqlite database stored in the /var/lib/kolab directory called auth_cache.db

Hello everyone.
I set up a new user that has a username that is the same as an email alias from a deleted user. This new user cannot log in via imap or smtp from roundcube, from kmail, or directly via telnet.

The pykolab log shows that the authentication request is happening under the userid of the deleted user and I'm not sure why or how that happens.
The deleted user does not show up in ldap queries - filtering by "mail" or "username" - manually running the ldap query in postfix and cyrus config files does not return the deleted user, so I'm not sure why the deleted user is turning up in the pkolab log (although the deleted mailboxes show up for "kolab lm").
Is there an authentication cache somewhere that I need to clear? I checked mariadb in the kolab and roundcube databases, but did not find anything that referenced the deleted user_id.
Any help appreciated.
Nathan
