Improved email search in webmail - xapian search

Dear Kolab users, 

I have been trying to implement "fuzzy search" for emails in Kolab 16 on
CentOS by re compiling cyrus-imapd with support for xapian search. I
have so far been unable to get this working. 

If someone has managed to implement xapian support in cyrus-imapd can
they please outline how they achieved this? I tried following the
exxample at https://cyrusimap.org/imap/developer/install-xapian.html and
the linked fastmail blog post. 

Open to any other suggestions to improve email search in webmail. 

Need to achieve fuzzy search e.g. 

Email subject: super important email 

Search string: super email    <-- this should match above subject and be
returned in results but it doesn't
