I don't agree it should be a client task.
Does Kolab support filtering with sieve?
I haven't installed Kolab yet, currently waiting when packages for jessie 
are fixed.
Today I use Posfix/Dovecot setup on a VPS, Dovecot handles sieve well, but 
I don't know how Cyrus supports it.
