Kolab 3.4 tag explosion

Greetings,

I have been running two separate kolab 3.4 servers and have an issue 
where an account holder has created 1 new tag that seems to have 
replicated itself 8000 times too many.   It has also attached itself 
multiple times to the 4 emails that the user has applied the tag to (see 
attachement).   I have attempted to delete these tags through the 
roundcubemail interface using the tag manager and it shows approximately 
a dozen in the list which you can select several of to delete but after 
clicking delete they all disappear for the moment but all return after a 
screen refresh/reload.

I have also tried finding where the tag information is stored either by 
user in the database or under 
/var/spool/imap/domain/a/aardvark/b/user/burt/Configuration.   The 
database has no tag information that I can find.  The configuration 
folder has 8000 plus files containing the tag but deleting the files has 
no effect.

What is necessary to manually remove these tags and where is the 
configuration for these tags stored?
