RoundCube address auto-fill

Just a follow up on this. I've enabled imap_debug in the roundcube 
config and I've noticed that the address search causes the imap log to 
print out all the contents of the users' Address Book before displaying 
anything. The bigger the address book the longer it takes to return a 
result. I have not observed this behaviour on it's sister server running 
on an identical system. Weird.
