Actually I went back to an old snapshot of my server to get rid of the troubles with that mailbox, but I am sure it will help me a lot in the future!

Make sure kolab-server aka kolabd is running. This is the background 
daemon that takes care of syncing mailboxes and LDAP. If a user gets 
created (user type: kolab user, not contcat) in LDAP a new mailbox will 
be created. If you delete a user in LDAP the whole mailbox gets deleted 
(renamed to the DELETED namespace).

If kolabd is not running, you can either check that it's running or 
restart it with `service kolab-server restart` or just manually sync 
everything `kolab sync`
If you delete a user + create a new user, the new user will have a new 
empty mailbox! If you whish to restore the mailbox you should take a 
look at the `kolab undelete-mailbox` command and check the cli 
documentation.
