Kontact e5(?) vs. Kolab 2.x server?

Hi all,

I have had some discussion about this topic in the past (as part of a bug 
report, IIRC), but I get the impression that I'm still 
missing/misunderstanding something. Hence, my question: How well is a newer 
Kontact (4.11.2 in this case - is that actually regarded as e5?) supposed to 
work with a 2.x Kolab server? I am currently testing this set-up and one of 
the more annoying things I have noticed is that recurring events have become 
unreliable. Whenever daylight saving comes, these events are off by one hour, 
which wasn't the case with Kontact e35 and Kolab 2.x. I was - wrongly, it 
seems - under the impression that this would only affect old, existing events, 
but today I found that newly created ones show the same problem. The account 
in question was marked as being a Kolab v2 account, but apparently, there are 
some issues still... ...and I *do* remember that there was something with v2 
vs. v3 and recurring events...

As usual, any insight is most welcome!
