Hello Erik,
I have now done a test with the latest Kolab 3.1 version from (available as nightly build for CentOS, see [1]).
I was able to add a new domain, and to create users in that domain,
without changing the kolab.conf file.
There was still one bug ([2]) that was resolved in the past days, that
prevented that.

You still have to set some parameters in kolab.conf once, but I guess
that is ok.

to set the default for primary_mail, so that it will be used in all
additional domains.
