No, the description which you references discusses the address book.
I've tested with Mac OS 10.8.5, Calendar/1648 - So I'm talking only
about the calendar, not the addressbook.

The addressbook didn't work in evolution for me - didn't find why yet.
For Mac I didn't had time before to test it.

If somebody has some hints ...
