Synckolab thunderbird lightning problems

Hi,

Thanks so much in advance for your help!

I believe I have carefully followed the instructions here
http://www.kolab.org/howto/use-synckolab-thunderbird-and-lightning
on my Mac OS x10.5.8 running Thunderbird 13.0.1 and Lightning 1.5.2
I have lots of tasks and calendar events entered.
The designated imap account is happily receiving email messages.
I've quit and restarted thunderbird and I've clicked the Sync Kolab 
button, but the "processing" pane in the kolab window says "none".

The goal is to sync this data to to my
Nokia Booklet 3G running Kubuntu 13.04 with Thunderbird. All is setup to 
match over there (same names for all the calendars), except that I have
unclicked "save to imap folder" until the Nokia receives the Mac's 
tasks, events, and contacts, after which I intend to sync so both 
computers can overwrite immediatly with most recent data.
