The problem here was that the system (/etc/hostname) is called 
"kolab.<MYDOMAIN>.org", while kolab is providing "<MYDOMAIN>.org", causing 
distribution confusion.

Assuming a kolab-mail account has been provide in "/etc/aliases" and 
"newalias" was run
1) editing /etc/mailname to contain <MYDOMAIN>.org
and
2) Uncommenting "myorigin = /etc/mailname" in "/etc/postfix/main.cf" 
followed by
3) service postfix restart
did the trick for me.
