Hi Richard,

this should have been resolved with pykolab-0.4.1 available in 
updates-testing.

If that's the version you have, or any later version, and the problem 
still occurs, please reopen #741[1].

As for the LDAP issue you're experiencing, comment #6[2] on ticket #737 
might help.
