mutt and kolab

hello,

does anybody uses mutt as an email client for kolab? Just recently I 
tested it, but now I am somewhat lost when it comes to my contacts. 
The manual solution would be to export the contacts into vCard and 
then convert this into mutt aliases. However, that approach breaks 
the syncing idea.

Any ideas, hints, links for using kolab without [kontact|evolution|
mozilla|outlook]?
