Looking for input from Kontact users

Hi,

I experience the following bugs:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292210
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286036
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277905
and
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=285743
with all KDE 4.7.X and 4.8.X kontact clients.

The last bug renders the calendar component useless to me, as it introduces a bug that displays repeating events created with an older/other (e.g. horde!) client at the wrong time in either summer- or winter time.
Furthermore, there are massive encoding problems with kjots, such that notes created with e35 get not displayed correctly in recent KDE, and vice versa.

After discovering the above mentioned bugs, I gave up with recent kontact and switched the clients back to kontact from KDE 3.5.10, which is available from opensuse in their current 12.1 release. This works quite stable, with DIMAP on NFSv4 home directory not being a problem.

When I started using kolab/kontact about 4 years ago (KDE 3.5), everything worked rock-solid and stable. Unfortunately, this does not seem to hold with current kontact versions.

Regards
Heiner
