Kolab 3.0 Mail copy

Hi,
my first centOS-Kolab 3.0 installation seems to be quite reliable - So
I'm thinking of a switch from the current 2.3.4 openpkg version to the
new version, both running parallel under kvm on a debian host. The
syncing of calendar and addressbook data is not of importancy, just the
mail pool needs to be copied. Am I right, that in this case, just
recursively copying them from one machine to the other, is sufficient?
