Actually I don't know what format they have ... the N900 has a tools called 
Hermes (http://hermes.garage.maemo.org/) which fetches the contact information 
of your friends from facebook, twitter, linkedin and gravatar. I guess it gets 
the pictures in the format from the provider.

Since I use the kolab Server only for myself that would be fine :D Which SVN 
should I check out ?
