You were right!

I modified $conf['cookie']['domain'] in file 
/kolab/etc/kolab/templates/webclient-kolab-conf.template to reflect the 
name under which I was calling horde, and restarted kolab.

Strangely enough, the admin interface did not have this cookie problem.
