ASSP and Kolab.

I never used ASSP but from a brief glance at the documentation I would  
suggest to try to go for a two server setup. Setup ASSP on a separate  
box and let it forward to your Kolab machine. That should have the  
smallest chance of being disruptive. That might make it more difficult  
to setup ASSP though.

In case you need to run it on the same machine I would say that the  
setup suggested here  
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/assp/index.php?title=HOWTOs_and_notes_for_specific_MTAs_and_OSes#HOWTO:_ASSP_.26_Postfix is also pretty safe. Just make sure you test this well enough before going productive
