Correct the N900 showed this behaviour.

I guess here starts the unexpected behaviour. When set to mode 0 the sync
runs through without errors on the phone but also nothing happens. I didn't
add the extra calendar for the test which should also work without the
extra, right?

Do I understand correctly that I should switch to mode 0 and reset the
server (rm state/* and kolabindex/*)?

I don't think it does but I will get in contact with the maemo people and
make sure.
